Here are some tips for optimal cannabis flower storage:
- Be sure to always store your flower in an air-tight container.
- Cool, dark spaces are ideal for proper storage. (Ideal temp is 70 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Keep away from moisture and humidity.
What about keeping properly packaged flower in the freezer? While this is certainly better than exposing your cannabis to excess heat, humidity, or light – sticking to the ideal temp we mentioned above is your best bet.
Pre-roll Storage
And, last but certainly not least – cannabis flower pre-rolls (or ready–to-go, previously-rolled joints of various sizes) have become one of the norms of this thrilling legal industry that currently spans coast to coast. Whether you’re riding on the pre-roll locomotive or are a skilled joint craftsman yourself who prefers to roll their own, it’s important to practice proper storage here as well.
Pre-rolls have the added element of various rolling papers to consider. While our storage suggestions here follow most of the same as the above for flower, here are some additional tips for optimal cannabis pre-roll storage:
- Since pre-rolls depend on keeping their form for proper consumption, make sure they reside in an air-tight and damage-proof container. (There’s nothing worse than pulling out a broken or flattened joint/blunt.)
- If you’re planning for long-term storage, consider implementing a moisture pack.
We don’t recommend freezing your pre-rolls, however, a well-executed vacuum seal around a damage-proof container is another trick you can use to prolong the life of your pre-roll products.
